In our last visit we put what we learned from Ezra 1 into this impact thought: When God sets out to fulfill His promise He is always on time and uses anyone He chooses to do His bidding – king, prophet, priest or commoner, believer or unbeliever.

God used the pagan king Cyrus to decree at the predicted time that exiles from Israel could return to their homeland to rebuild the temple.  He moved the hearts of many exiles to return and build the temple.  He moved their neighbors to help with the cost.  Some of the heads of families gave freewill offerings.  By the king’s proclamation leaders among surrounding peoples had to help as well.  Truly, when God sets out to fulfill His promise He’s always on time and uses anyone He chooses to do His bidding.

Once you prepare an impact thought, review the Biblical context that prompted it to make sure it accurately represents what God’s Word says.  If it does, sharpen the statement so it is concise, clear and easy to remember.  When I did this I came up with this statement: God fulfills His promises on time and uses anyone or anything to make it happen.

Once your impact thought is written, review it periodically and share it with others.  This will help you remember it and live it out for God’s glory.  It also helps you explain to others how God works and then take them to the scriptures you based the thought on.
