As we come to the close of another year do you relate to some of the experiences we have considered in recent visits? Do you make a practice to do what Mary, the mother of Jesus, did? She reviewed her experience and pondered what had taken place. She probably wondered what difference this experience would have on her life, her marriage, her extended family and circle of friends. Remember, the angel told her that after her son’s birth she was “to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and be called the Son of the Most High,” etc. Her declaration in Luke 1:46-55, expresses her worship and praise resulting from her pondering over what she had learned and experienced. A few days after Jesus’ birth, when they brought Him to the temple, Mary got more information from Simeon and Anna. I’m sure she pondered over what they said. This program is designed to help you get God’s message. Once you get new information from God’s Word, the Bible, I encourage you to ponder what it means and then respond to the truth with faith, obedience, worship and praise. Make it a part of your “truth data base” in your mind and heart, from which you can draw out enlightenment, encouragement, and energy to live as God would have you live. And then share what you’ve learned and experienced with those you live with and encounter in daily life. My prayer is that this will be the outcome in the lives of many who listen to this program. Pray for me as I prepare these studies. Pray also for those who listen, that God would open their minds and hearts to get and then experience God’s message.
