One final application I’d like to make based on the three points: opportunity everywhere, opportunity ebbing, opportunity ended. Believers should make the most of opportunities that come our way for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. If we don’t, opportunities will ebb away, and over time will end.
Looking at this from the perspective of one who has not yet received Jesus Christ as their Savior, let me apply these three points to you. You have opportunities everywhere to hear the Good News, broadcast over radio and TV, and now through many other communication tools. If you put off pursuing the truth of God’s salvation your opportunity will begin to ebb away. The longer you put off you’re response to God’s love you get closer and closer to a time when your opportunity to do so will end. How tragic that would be.
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” Tomorrow might be too late. Let me encourage you to not put it off any longer.
Here is a prayer you could pray right now if you want to settle this issue with God. If you are sincere, repeat after me the following prayer: “Dear God, thank you for showing your love to me by sending Jesus Christ to die for my sin. I believe He rose from the dead and now lives to be my savior. I believe I will be forgiven if I trust in Him. I turn from sin and invite Jesus Christ to come into my life, take control, and make me the person You want me to be. Amen.”
If you prayed this prayer you are saved. I would like to hear from you so I can send you some helpful literature. Write me, email@example.com
