The Lord is omnipresent and omnipotent.  Nothing is higher than Him.  He is over all.  All is subject to Him.  In Psalm 84 He is worshiped and extolled as the one over all the hosts of heaven, Jehovah-Tzebaoth.  All these hosts of heaven are concerned about serving, honoring, and glorifying Him.  Their constant declaration of praise and worship is, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.”  Adoring the Lord, basking in His presence, responding to His every beck and call, giving Him undivided attention – this is the atmosphere of heaven.

The Psalmist declares, “How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty (Jehovah-Tsebaoth).”  This is the place of perfect rest.  All who are His have this to look forward to.

To prepare for that blessed time we should discipline ourselves to enter into these spiritual dimensions of worship now.  Our prayer should genuinely reflect what Jesus taught His disciples: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven…for Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen” (Matthew 6:9-13).

Join the psalmist as he testifies, “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God…For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless” (Psalm 84:10-11).  Join heaven’s hosts and the psalmist in praising the Lord Almighty, Jehovah-Tzebaoth!
