He had ministered the truth as a servant of the living God, as recorded in the first 5 chapters of Isaiah.  He represented God out in the world.  But now he entered a deeper, moving experience in which he describes his call; his call into ministry. 

What you can do to study this is spread the information out before you, information about what he saw and heard when he had this opportunity to see the Lord, high, lifted up and exalted.  God’s train filled the temple.  Everything about God was so majestic, glorious and awesome.  When he saw the Lord in all of His glory, with heavenly creatures crying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!” Isaiah was overwhelmed with his own sinfulness.  When he confessed this, one of God’s seraphs reached out and touched his lips with a live coal from the altar, and cleansed him. Then Isaiah heard God say, “Whom shall I send and who will go for us?”  He responded, “Here am I, send me.”  God encouraged and challenged him to go. 

Now, having gathered information, in our next visit we’ll sort and structure it into an outline.  Let’s keep digging into God’s Word to get His message for us, as we continue our adventure of reading through the Bible in two years.
