As we begin the year 2016 let me wish you a Christ filled and God blessed New Year! To encourage this let me reaffirm my objective in doing this program. I feel as strongly as I did when I started the program over 30 years ago that a major need among Christians is to get into God’s Word, the Bible. They need to read and study it on a regular basis. My desire is to help them get the message God wants us to know and apply it to our lives. For those who listen to the program but have not yet taken the step of faith asking Jesus to be their Savior and Lord, I’m glad you’re listening. Let me encourage you to read and reflect on what God says in His Word, the Bible. Ask Him to help you understand it. The message of the Bible will make you wise unto Salvation. It will expose you to the fact that God loves you and desires a relationship with you. It also will inspire your faith to trust in God. The psalmist wrote in Psalm 119, if you want your life cleaned up then listen and respond to God’s Word. If you want to gain victory over sin, then hide God’s Word in your mind and heart. If you want guidance in decisions you are facing then remember God’s Word is like a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. It always pays to read and study what God inspired Holy men of old to write down. Make that a high priority in your life this year. If you can’t always listen to the program when it is aired then find the date in the archives link, and you can read the script or listen to the program. Make this year count in your relationship with God.
