We have been considering the Biblical witness regarding the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We’ve listed the convincing human interactive experiences Jesus Christ provided first century Christians that He arose victorious from the grave and was very much alive.

Now let’s consider the miracles He performed.

On a number of occasions He all of a sudden appeared before the disciples who were gathered behind locked doors. He would at times appear and just as quickly disappear.

When Jesus appeared one morning to the disciples on the shore of the Sea of Galilee He asked them how their fishing had gone. When they despondently shared that they caught nothing all night He told them to “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some” (John 21:6). When they did they were unable to drag the net in because there were so many fish caught in it!

In addition, when the disciples finally got on shore and had the nets dragged in they found Jesus had made a fire and had some fish on it along with some bread. Where did those fish come from? Had Jesus been fishing? That’s a rhetorical question. It was a double miracle!

John wrote in chapter 20:30-31, “Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

I trust this week’s study has given you confidence to believe the good news that Jesus loves you, died for your sins and rose again, to be your Savior.
