As we conclude our study of what we find about Jesus Christ in Isaiah 52:13-53:12 let’s focus on what His reward will be.

Isaiah 52:13 says that “he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.” That has already taken place and continues to this day. But what does it mean that He will be lifted up and highly exalted? Verse 15 says that “what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.” “They” refers to the nations and their kings. The world has been preoccupied with their own agendas and interests. They haven’t asked the pertinent questions nor listened to the answers God has revealed in many different ways. The truth about Jesus will one day be fully known.

When Jesus Christ is exalted every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). At that time Jesus “will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand” (53:10). Put another way, in verse 11 it says, “After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied.” This could read, “He will see the result of the suffering of his soul and be satisfied.”

I’ve remembered a statement that has helped me keep focus during tough times: It will be worth it all when we see Jesus.” That statement could be adapted by Jesus according to Isaiah’s prophecy: It will be worth it all to Jesus when He sees the multitudes of believers who have been saved by His love and grace, surrounding Him and worshipping Him in heaven.

Why not delight His heart by worshipping Him now.
