Update from Lud and Mur, September ’20

October 3rd, 2020

We have had a busy month and a half since our last update. Thanks you for your prayers as I preached two times and gave a two and a half hour seminar at FBC on How to study the Bible. In addition we spent a week relaxing in PA followed by the southern girls taking Mur on a trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan (where Mur grew up), then a first birthday party for our Great granddaughter, Marleigh, a celebration for Michael who graduation from Gordon Seminary in Indiana, and later the dedication of our youngest Great grandson, Ford. When we got home both of us had a cold and have taken a week to recover. That’s the price you pay if you want to be involved in the lives of your growing family. We haven’t seen the northern contingency of our family in Illinois because of covid 19 restrictions there. We’re hoping to soon reconnect in person with all of them. Please pray, Greg is having an operation on Sept 29. With all of these activities we have much to be thankful for. God is indeed good.
As you can see from the following email sent by a listener to Lud’s daily radio program, God is continuing to give us the privilege of serving Him. Mur is getting together next week with some of the gals in her Bible study to see how to continue that ministry as well. And Lud is more and more getting back to meeting with guys for breakfast or lunch, to encourage them. __________________________________________________________________________________________________
Here is the email from a radio listener: Lud: Every day that I’m able to hear your short but power-packed program on BBN, I am helped by it. I have meant to say thank you for a long time but have neglected to do so until today. Thank you for being a diligent student of God’s word and for sharing His light and life with us. And thank you for letting us know that today is your birthday! It was the nudge I needed to communicate my appreciation.
She continues with a prayer: Father, thank You for our brother-in-Christ. He will never know how many lives he has helped to live for Your honor and glory during his earthly life, so I pray that You will encourage his heart to continue to “Go forward!” I think of the verse: “The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” Proverbs 4:18. Please continue to shepherd Lud and his family so that they will shine brighter and brighter with the Light of Christ, giving honor and glory to You! We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
Thank you for making our lives as a family so full and fruitful. Your prayers, and the financial support from those guided by God to under-gird this ministry, are much appreciated. We love you all and Thank God for your friendship and partnership.
